FINISHED QUILT! FABRIC giveaway!

FRESH SQUEEZED FABRIC GIVEAWAY and TUTORIAL

and
I am finished! I did free motion stippling all around, and I LOVE it a lot! I did super tiny stitches, and it took me 4-5 hours. (is that embarrassing? do you all do it in like 45 minutes) It is the biggest quilt I have done. I am loving playing with my machines free motion quilting, plus, if I add my girl math, that is another $50 less the cost of my machine. (remember every time I machine quilt a quilt myself, I get to deduct $50 off what I paid for my machine) My husband said "soon I am going to be owing you money"...thats the spirit!

Don't you just love the just out of the dryer crinkliness? (is that a word, I was sure it was, but spell check sure thinks it isn't)

EASY TUTORIAL
1. Create six dutch pinwheels here
2. Assemble the 6 pinwheels according to quilt photo.
3. Add 2" brown stop borders
5.  Add 6" outside borders
Finished quilt size 50 x 68
Now on the the fun stuff!  Fresh Squeezed fabrics is giving away this stack of fat quarters that I used to make this quilt!

These are the fun fat quarters just waiting to jump in the mail to you from Randi at Fresh Squeezed Fabrics

If you would like to win, you have three chances, leave a separate comment per entry:

  • If you were stranded on a island, which celebrity do you want with you to repopulate the earth, what dessert would you bring, and what craft project...?
  • Another comment if you are a follower
  • Peak on over to Randi's shop and tell us what you like...
ENTRIES FOR GIVEAWAY THROUGH MONDAY MARCH 7th, WINNER ANNOUNCED TUESDAY MARCH 8th.

This giveaway is now closed.

Hm. Desert island: Probably Matt Damon or Adam Sandler (someone who seems legitimately nice), Culver's frozen custard w/ hot fudge and andes mints and some sort of baby project. For all those kids I'd be having, of course. :-)

Great job on your stippling!! I just started doing that myself, though not on a large project yet!
Keith Urban and I would be enjoying homemade coconut cake on our island...and as for projects, while he is serenading me, I guess I'd be hand appliqueing a quilt from 1942 that my grandmother did not get finished.
I AM a follower of your blog and LOVE it!
And for Randi's shop ~ my favorite is Free Spirit. I mean, Michael Miller. Whoops ~ I mean Anthopology...oh well. You know how it is ;0!

JuneBug said...

FUN question!

Celebrity? Currently... Joseph Gordon Levitt. He'd be fun to be around, and doesn't seem too stuck up :)

Dessert... Key lime pie. WITH whipped cream! You know, for more fun with the celebrity in question!

Craft... something to embroider, as I have been wanting to try and that's something that might take up time.

I'm one of your older readers and too old to re-populate, so I'd take me favorite guy, for the last 47 years, Bob. Dessert = Apple Pie, and a quilt.

Caty said...

Oh gosh, if I were stuck on an island....

-It's a tie between Matt Damon and Ryan Renolds (I CAN'T CHOOSE! LOL!)
-Chocolate, always chocolate!
-Fabric for quilts! Quilting takes lots of time so I'd be busy most of the time haha.

Haha, that was fun!

Here is the deal -- there is not a man alive, other than my dear sweet husband that I'd want to repopulate the earth with. It about so much more than looks (though I love looking at my guy.) It's about character.

I'd bring chocolate. No nuts, just good quality chocolate.

And, of course, I'd bring quilting.

Shannon said...

I love that quilt pattern. If I had to pick one person first it would be my husband. If he was too busy with his "fame" then I would want Val Kilmer. LOL!! M&M's and then all of my sewing stuff!

If you were stranded on a island, which celebrity do you want with you to repopulate the earth, what dessert would you bring, and what craft project...?
On that Island I'd take any of my favorite singers, let's repopulate the earth with songbirds! So that could be: Sting, Jason Mraz, India Arie, Trace Adkins, James Taylor, pick one...the dessert would be Death by Chocolate Cake, a mile high, thick and deep and rich as a volcano, with a massive dollop of whipped cream beside it...the craft project, a stack of applique blocks 15 stories high. ~anna
